Nylon 1012 resin was synthesized from dodecarboxylic acid and decanediamine with different content of acetic acid as molar mass regulator.The test results of relative viscosity and end group content showed that with the increase of the amount of acetic acid, the end carboxyl group content of the resin increased and the relative viscosity decreased.Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis (TG) were used to test the thermal properties of the resin. It was found that the thermal stability of the resin deteriorated as the relative viscosity of the resin decreased and the melting point decreased.The torque rheological test of nylon samples showed that the samples with less acetic acid consumption had increased viscosity in the process of mixing due to the high content and similar concentration of end-nh2 group and end-cooh group.

What are the matters needing attention when processing nylon?
1. Use of raw materials
Had better not more than three times, lest cause product discoloration or mechanical physical properties of sharp decline, should be controlled in the dosage below 25%, too much will cause the fluctuation of the process conditions, and then raw materials and new materials must be dry.
2. Safety tips
Nylon type resin boot should first open the nozzle temperature, and then in the feeding cylinder heating, when the nozzle is blocked, do not face the nozzle hole, in case the melt in the cylinder due to pressure accumulation and sudden release, dangerous.
