Lil Nas X, famed rapper, singer, and songwriter, has been appointed as the newest American ambassador by Yves Saint Laurent Beauté. As part of the partnership, Lil Nas X will appear in a series of content used on YSL Beauté's digital platforms and in U.S. media campaigns to support the most recent launches of the brand's makeup products and its bestselling men's fragrances. This collaboration is motivated by the synergies between the brand and Lil Nas X's unrelenting devotion to originality, with the vision to inspire the next wave of beauty.

With her new skincare brand Stella, developed in partnership with the LVMH Beauty Division, British fashion designer Stella McCartney is breaking into the market for premium clean beauty. Developed over two years, Stella by Stella McCartney seeks to provide 'a responsible alternative to luxury skincare'. The line includes three primary products — a cleanser, a serum, and a moisturiser, with formulae that prioritise long-term vitality above immediate results not to overstimulate the skin. Come early September, the collection will be retailed on stellamccartneybeauty.com and at the Stella McCartney UK flagship shop.

4. H&M Home launches furniture for kids

The first collection of children's furniture from H&M Home featuring 'clean, stylish, and useful styles that can endure the test of time' is now out. The range includes several timeless kid-friendly pieces, such as a table with storage and a pen holder that can match a chair in one of four colour schemes and a storage bench, shelves, and carpets. The collection is offered in a few brick-and-mortar stores and online.

5. Puma partners with Palomo Spain for a gender fluid collection

The world's largest sportswear brand Puma has announced a new partnership with Palomo Spain for a collection that combes sportswear with gender fluidity. The collab links the flamboyant styles of the 1970s with Palomo's distinctive gender-neutral designs by taking inspiration from 1970s football stars and their off-field lives. The 15-piece collection includes a bell-bottom T7 tracksuit, a half-zipped polo with football-inspired graphics, nylon shorts, tank tops, classic tees, a nylon coat, and a long-sleeve jersey, along with additional merch. The Puma X Palomo Spain collection will be sold at a few Puma locations, on the brands' websites, and in select international shops.

In collaboration with British designer Richard Quinn, Tommy Hilfiger has unveiled a gender-inclusive, limited-edition capsule collection for Fall 2022. The line combines Quinn's distinctive use of vivid patterns and exaggerated forms with Hilfiger's interpretation of traditional American garments, including the varsity jacket, 5-pocket jeans, chino, and leather jacket. The Tommy Hilfiger x Richard Quinn collection is influenced by several subcultures and aesthetics, including those of jocks, punks, and cheerleaders. On September 1, the collection debuted at a handful of Tommy Hilfiger stores worldwide and online at tommy.com.

7. Fanfiction turned movie loosely based on Harry Styles to cast Anne Hathaway as the lead

The Idea of You, a well-known fanfiction book loosely based on the pop icon and former member of One Direction, is being adapted into a movie with Anne Hathaway playing a significant role. Hathaway plays Sophie, a 40-year-old divorced mother whose husband left her for a younger woman, in the film adaptation of Robinne Lee's bestselling debut novel of the same name. With the help of her daughter, Sophie arranges a trip to Coachella, where she meets 24-year-old Hayes Campbell (yep, based on Styles), the lead singer of the hottest boy band on the planet, August Moon (ring any bells, One Direction fans?). Her weekend trip quickly develops into a life-altering romance. A premiere date for the film has not yet been determined, but production is scheduled to start in October.

8. Blackpink's Lisa becomes the first female K-pop artist to win at the VMA's

Lisa created history at the 2022 MTV VMAs. The 25-year-old singer won the Best K-pop award for her debut solo single 'Lalisa', post her performance with her BLACKPINK crewmates. For this honour, she managed to beat BTS, Itzy, Seventeen, Stray Kids, and TWICE. The first song to reach the Hot Trending Songs chart on Billboard was 'Lalisa'. The song was released and debuted at #3 before rising to #2. It is the only song to appear on every Hot Trending Songs chart since the list's inception. Lisa won the award, making her the first female K-pop artist to do so.

Our childhood just became more memorable. The lovable and popular Pokémon character Pikachu inspired a limited-edition line designed by Olivier Rousteing, the creative director of Balmain. With Pikachu and his lightning-bolt tail appearing on sweatshirts, oversized tops, trousers, sneakers, and bags that will sit in both the actual and digital worlds, the unique Balmain X Pokémon collection is focused on a trainer fashion set. Starting September 5, customers can physically purchase the Balmain X Pokémon collaboration at nine Balmain shops across US, Europe, and Asia and at Balmain's retail partner, Stadium Goods in Chicago.

10. Burberry is in search of a new Chief Creative Officer

As Riccardo Tisci's tenure comes to an end in early 2023, Burberry is looking at alternative creative directors and scoping out potential successors. According to industry sources, one of those designers is Daniel Lee, who abruptly left the Kering-owned Bottega Veneta late last year. It's still early to say anything with certainty, but Burberry will soon be finalising the new head of operations on the creative front.
