What does the "red, white, and blue" mean to you? For me it's America. It's freedom and our great nation. To me, it's a symbol of the greatest nation on earth, if you have a better one to suggest, then take a shot, but I think I'll turn you down.

Tuesday (June 14th) is Flag Day and it's a chance for us to honor the "stars and stripes". I like to fly my flag at home on every sunny day, it's part of our home and I enjoy putting out the colors, as do many in our neighborhood.

One of the largest flags in America is right here in New Jersey. According to a Bing search, one of the largest flags is located in Fort Lee at the George Washington Bridge. "Bridging the gap between New York and New Jersey, Fort Lee hosts the world’s largest free-flying American flag. The 450-pound nylon banner is over 60 feet long and 90 feet wide. Each stripe measures about five feet wide and each star is about four feet in diameter."

By the way, for the record, according to a Bing search the largest flag in America is right in Wisconsin. The "Superflag" is 505 feet wide and 225 feet tall. It's recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest U.S. Flag in the world. It flies in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

If Mother Nature behaves be sure to fly your colors on Tuesday as we celebrate Flag Day, below is our flag and I'll be flying ours with pride as we honor all that's a part of the red, white, and, blue.
